Singer Kobi Greenbaum continues to storm the playlist: On the way to his debut album, he releases another single, Hasidic, happy and moving on the one hand and sad on the other – "Shkoyich".
Without conditions and with scholarships: earn an average of 35,700 shekels per month
The melody was written by Pinchas Bichler, director of the most popular Hasidic choir today - the "Malchot" Choir.
Bichler even joins in singing along with Greenbaum.
The lyrics of the song are taken from "Lord of the World," and are accompanied by texts of thanks and gratitude in Yiddish.
""Music, by its very nature, connects people," explains Kobi Greenbaum, "When thanksgiving to Hashem is done out of joy, it has a special connection.".
The recurring motif in the song is Tata Ik Will Dir Zagen, which means "Father, I want to thank you." A person should thank Hashem for every step, good or bad.
""Even when times are tough, you have to know how to give thanks, especially in moments like these when things don't always go as planned - you have to say thank you for everything. Rabbi Nachman says that when a person thanks God for everything, God shows him that it's not all and gives him double the reward," explains Kobi behind the scenes of the new single.
Greenbaum, one of the busiest singers in Hasidic music, and considered the most prominent of wedding singers, is in the final stretch of his debut album. His two previous singles ("Vaykebetz," "Mi Sha'ohev") became instant hits, captivating yeshiva students and Haredi radio stations.
Naturally, the choice of a rhythmic song was obvious: "For a long time I've been looking for a rhythmic song that would touch me, that would express the value of joy as I believe in it, and when Pinchas played me the melody he wrote for the magical words, I immediately said 'I'll take it'... what a shame!".
This time, Bichler did not stay behind the scenes, and participated in singing with the choir and with Greenbaum.
