An Israeli citizen has been arrested on suspicion of committing serious and grave security offenses against state security. The Shin Bet announced this evening (Wednesday) that it had authorized publication.

The Israeli has been held in custody and under investigation by the Shin Bet for several weeks and was prevented, with the express permission of the court, from meeting with a lawyer for 20 days.
The remaining details of the investigation and the identity of the detainee were prohibited from publication, according to an order issued by the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court.
The suspect's lawyers, Avi Himi and Moshe Weiss, responded to the publication: "Despite the bombastic headline, this is a suspicion that will end with a weak confession. Our client is a loyal citizen of the State of Israel.".
It is forbidden to publish who the detainee is or what religion he is from, so let's just say he is a resident of the Negev, and you can take it from there. https://t.co/hlEAvcqlmn
