The tweet he posted on his Twitter account last night broke the internet and led to a wave of reactions regarding the content of the message. Many speculated that he was on his way to leaving News 12, or joining the world of politics.
Amit himself tried to calm things down a bit, and later tweeted: "Look friends. Don't cancel plans, okay? No need to get carried away. Good luck to those taking the matriculation exams tomorrow. Don't give up on this for the sake of the announcement. This is an announcement that is joyful and exciting for me and I hope for you too, regardless of political views. And no, I am not being appointed Minister of Water or anything similar.".
