Is this Likud's key to dismantling the Bennett-Lapid-Abbas government? Less than two weeks after the left-wing government was formed, the Likud continues to try to find a way to dismantle it as quickly as possible.

According to a report by Dafna Liel from Hadashot 12, the main way in which Netanyahu and his people are operating these days is by focusing on Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz, who was only a few months away from the position of prime minister - and was forced to give it up in order to form the left-wing government.

According to the report, the Likud chose to focus on Gantz for two reasons: One - Bennett and Lapid cannot form an alternative government led by them in this Knesset, because that is what the coalition agreement signed between them states. However, Benny Gantz is freed from such an obligation. The second - a personal reason. Gantz is not really satisfied with the fact that Bennett won the leadership of the government and Lapid is supposed to be his successor, and therefore he is constantly in the sights of the Likud, which believes that his frustration with the matter could cause him to rebel.

Gantz is also struggling with the distribution of portfolios in the left-wing government, and the agriculture portfolio was taken from him.

Likud is constantly putting pressure on Gantz, but they are aware that if such a scenario happens and he chooses to form a different government, it won't happen tomorrow.

Meanwhile, they are promoting the candidacy of former minister Omer Yankelevich for the prestigious position of chairwoman of Keren Hayesod - and not by chance. Gantz really wants Yankelevich to be appointed - and the Likud knows that if she holds the position, she may be able to influence him in the future and channels for communication between the parties will be opened.

What's more, it doesn't hurt Gantz to "broadcast" to Bennett and Lapid that he can dissolve the government at any moment - if they don't meet his various demands.

At a Blue and White party activists' conference held on Tuesday this week, Gantz expressed his frustration that the role of prime minister had eluded him: "I could have been prime minister now, it was in my hands. Bibi would have resigned and I would have become prime minister, and only then would we have a discussion.".
