Amit Segal, the senior political commentator for News 12, attacked today (Tuesday), in an interview on Galie Tzahal and on his Twitter account, the creators of the satire show "Eretz Nehederet" - claiming that they are "radical leftists.".

The interview took place in response to a sketch that aired on the Keshet 12 program, during which Segal was played by actor Roy Bar-Natan, and was presented as someone whose predictions have repeatedly come true recently - against the backdrop of political developments.
""The reference in the sketch was to my mistakes in estimating that the government of change would not be established, and it was established in the end, and that is truly a lesson in modesty," Segal said in an interview. "At the same time, there is a hidden ideological struggle that is naturally also taking place on Channel 12. Because if we are talking about satirical coverage, really whining about satire is one of the most pathetic things there is - so I accept it with love. I just wonder, where was this satire on journalists on the left?".
Segal added that the show's creators have a clear ideological agenda: "Molly Segev, who is a very talented man, or David Lipshitz, the main writer, are radical leftists, and that is their legitimate right, and they use their show to largely instill their agenda.".
Segal later noted that the right-wing bias amuses him: "Look, Molly Segev and David Lipshitz's goal in life, besides making people laugh and getting ratings, is to try and ridicule everything right-wing. For years, they have criticized me for expressing my positions on air. Satire is only from the right, when people criticize the left, it's 'why are they so lazy,' they say that the right is bloodthirsty and fascist. But I have no intention of stopping expressing my positions.".

After the interview, Segal posted a series of tweets on Twitter: "More will be said about the obsessive text messages from senior Eretz Neheder officials to the management of Channel 12 every time something right-wing is heard on Keshet News, mercifully for the listener. Their punishment is the need to flatter Bennett after years of trying to assassinate his image.".
The senior commentator continued: "For 7 years (!), the leaders of Eretz Nehederet have not stopped texting Keshet seniors every time I say something right-wing on the screen. They have never attacked left-wing people for the folly of handing over territory to terrorists. To them, the leaders of the right are Nazis, but the right incites. Pity Assi, Shani, Kitsis and the others who have to serve as presenters for these propagandists.".
Segal added: "We'll talk about the racism of Eretz Neheder against the Mizrahi another day. But in short: the Mizrahi who will do well in Eretz Neheder has not yet been born. This is the last bastion of Ashkenazim. To your amazement, we are not retarded. Everyone can see that for you.".
