After over a decade as editor-in-chief: Media personality Yitzhak Nachshoni announced this morning (Thursday) his retirement from editing the newspaper 'Mercaz Ha-Amin', a free publication published on Mondays.
In a tweet he posted on his Twitter account, he wrote: "After more than a decade as editor-in-chief of the 'Center of Affairs' newspaper, I thank the hostel for the joint work that brought the newspaper to the forefront of Haredi media and wish success to the incoming shift.".
Nachshoni, 67, a resident of Petah Tikva, founded in 1983, together with Israel Katsover, the weekly "Yom Hashishi," a newspaper that changed the face of the Haredi press, and appeared until 2001.
Nachshoni, who raised generations of journalists, was also one of the program editors on Radio Kol Hai for years. He is a commentator on radio programs and a regular participant in panels on Haredi radio channels.
Two of his sons are Yehuda Nachshoni, CEO of the newspaper "Mishpacha" and Kobi Nachshoni, the reporter for Haredi affairs for the Ynet website.
His father, the late Yehuda Nachshoni, was a journalist, editor of Shaarim, a writer and one of the leaders of the PAI movement.
