Last week, the New York Times published a project dealing with what it defined as "young victims of Operation Guardian of the Walls," and published, among other things, the story of a 17-year-old boy named Khaled al-Qano.
However, this morning (Tuesday) Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the respected media outlet "forgot" to mention that this was a terrorist who acted on behalf of the Hamas terrorist organization.
Al-Qano was killed in an airstrike during the operation and was presented as an innocent victim, but the person who corrected the mistake was actually his brother.
The brother said: "My brother joined the Hamas Mujahideen Brigades after they pressured him for many months. They took advantage of him. Our family opposed this move.".
Hamas also officially announced that the 17-year-old terrorist was part of the terrorist organization's Mujahideen Brigades - which is part of the blacklist of terrorist organizations that the US imposes sanctions on those who act against them.
