Likud responded this afternoon (Sunday) to the post published today by Yamina Chairman Naftali Bennett, in which he harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but did not rule out forming a government with him.

The Likud said: "The next government will be required to deal with enormous challenges at home and abroad - Hamas, Iran, international pressure to uproot settlements, protecting our soldiers and commanders from the International Criminal Court in The Hague, and stopping the riots within the country's borders.".
""Only a right-wing government led by Prime Minister Netanyahu will be able to successfully deal with all of these challenges - and not a left-wing government that depends on the Joint List and whose security cabinet includes Nitzan Horowitz, Tamar Zandberg and Meirav Michaeli.".
The Likud stung Bennett: "There are politicians who talk right and act left. While they publish posts and articles that are supposedly 'right-wing' and contrary to reality, they continue to squint to the left. Even after the murderous attacks by Hamas, the violent riots within Israel, and the renewed talk of a Palestinian state that will be a giant Hamastan, they continue to work to establish a government that will depend on the coalition and the left-wing parties of Lapid, Meretz, and Labor.".
""The time has come for them to clearly announce that they will not join such a government, and that they will join a right-wing government led by Netanyahu.".
Likud added: "Prime Minister Netanyahu was the first in the world to get Israel out of the coronavirus, led a campaign that dealt Hamas severe blows that set it back a decade, mobilized broad international support that enabled the IDF to complete the mission, and stopped the riots within the country by mobilizing Border Guard companies and bringing the Shin Bet into action.".
""This is the whole difference between leadership that acts with determination, responsibility, and success at the national and international levels and politicians who are busy tweeting and writing articles.".
