
Tragedy in Bnei Brak: The late Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Aryeh (Leibush) Weiss, zt"l, head of teaching at the Beit Dagur Hasidim in Bnei Brak, passed away suddenly early Friday morning, at the age of 73, while he was immersed in a mikveh on Chafetz Chaim Street in Bnei Brak.

The late Rabbi Zvi Weiss was born in Kiryat Ata in 1958 to his father, the late Rabbi Zvi Weiss. When he reached his peak, he married his wife, the daughter of the late Rabbi Yehoshua Heshil Rubinstein of Haifa.
The deceased was a scholar. As head of the kollel, he gave lessons in the kollel for teaching at the Dagur Hasidim House on Rabbi Dessler Street.
He left behind sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral procession left at 11:30 from his home on 7 Micha Street in Bnei Brak, via the Beit Hasidim Dagor on Rabbi Dessler Street, to the Beit HaChaim in Ashdod - where he will be buried.
Rescue forces were called early this morning to a mikveh on Hafetz Chaim Street, following a report of a 73-year-old man found unconscious at the scene.
The forces that arrived at the scene began performing CPR on the man, who had lost consciousness in the mikveh, but unfortunately, all that remained was to declare him dead at the scene.
ZAKA Tel Aviv volunteers take care of the dignity of the deceased and assist the family in organizing the funeral and burial, and stand by the family during difficult times.
Zvika Rotenberg, a United Hatzalah paramedic: "This is a 73-year-old man who lost consciousness while in the mikveh ahead of Shabbat. I performed CPR on him with the assistance of an intensive care unit team and other paramedics, in an attempt to save his life. Unfortunately, at the end of the CPR efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.".
Yechiel Goldman, ZAKA Tel Aviv's Chief of Staff: "Rescue forces who were called to the scene performed CPR on him and after a short time were forced to declare him dead on the spot. In the ZAKA Tel Aviv operation, a waiver was obtained for an autopsy on the deceased's body and he will be brought for burial today.".
