The IDF Spokesperson's Office reported that a surface-to-air missile was detected being launched from Syrian territory into Israeli territory, which fell in the Negev region.

In response, the IDF attacked the battery that launched the missile and additional surface-to-air missile batteries in Syrian territory.

Syrian media reported that the air defense system was activated following an Israeli attack in the Damascus area.

The IDF reported that Israeli activity in Syria resulted in the Syrian firing of several anti-aircraft missiles - one of which, apparently an SA5 model, penetrated Israeli territory and fell in the Diaspora area. This was not a targeted attack on any point in the area.
