Company Chrysler recently discontinued production of the Viper sports car, but it certainly has no intention of leaving the performance vehicle field.
This week, the company launched the new generation of the Charger sedan in the United States and at the same time launched a sporty version of the car called the "HELLCAT," which it calls "the world's most powerful and fastest production sedan.".
The car is equipped with a 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces no less than 707 hp and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car is capable of reaching 328 km/h and accelerating from zero to 100 and back to a standstill in about 12 seconds.
As a precaution, Chrysler equips the car with two different keys: one key (red) is capable of unleashing the vehicle's full performance, while the second key activates a "restrained" mode that reduces engine power and softens gear shifting for the benefit of less experienced drivers. Price has not yet been announced.
