Minister Ohana expressed great willingness to assist and informed the heads of the authorities that he would do everything in his power to ensure freedom of movement to commemorate Rashbi in Meron.

Chairman of the Haredi Authorities Forum and Mayor of Beitar Illit Meir Rubinstein: "It is not possible that huge events are taking place across the country, and when it comes to the Haredi public - the demand for imposing restrictions is immediately heard.

"We call on the government: Stop this madness! Do not give in to blatant discrimination against the Haredi public. Announce today that there will be no restrictions on those wishing to come and celebrate on Rashbi's Day in Meron. The Haredi public cannot be lulled to sleep with empty promises. We will not remain silent until we receive clear clarifications on the matter from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health.".
