She updated that "a file will be published that includes almost 961,000 of the total votes in the regular ballot boxes, excluding the double envelopes," which, according to the committee's estimate, include "450,000 envelopes.".

Ades said on an optimistic note: "In terms of election day, we were all very pleasantly surprised. We were expecting a difficult election day and overall it went well. There was even a feeling that it was a little sleepy, so from our perspective it was great with all the great challenges the system faced.".

She added that although "we hear other voices this morning, it doesn't matter because from our perspective we are prepared for any scenario. The entire process that takes place here in the Knesset building is done in the most open, transparent and transparent manner.".

When asked how they prove to the parties that the election process was done fairly, and what happens if a party claims irregularities, she replied: "We have eight days, until next Wednesday when we publish the official results. Eight days precisely for this purpose - to conduct various checks on all the voting materials that have arrived and on the inquiries that come to us. This is what we will do throughout the entire Hol HaMoed holiday. We will check all these things so that anyone who thinks that the results we published do not match what they think will be required to bring the data and we will check.".

She continued: "Anyone who enters our Elections Committee website will see a screen that displays two pieces of data: on the right, the typing that was done in the regional committees into the computer, and on the left, the original file scanned from the polling committee protocol as signed by the faction representatives who sat at the polling station and the secretary, and they can be compared.

""We need to remember that we documented the count from almost all polling stations across the country. An election integrity inspector sat and filmed the process. If there are any claims, these materials will be used as evidence and all the voting materials are available. This is the advantage of a manual election system.".

Regarding the voter turnout, she noted that she was initially disappointed by the decrease, but after thinking about it, she drew a different conclusion: "I expressed disappointment yesterday, because I estimated that the voter turnout would not drop below 701%. However, during the night I had time to think. Among other things, I thought about the fact that there were many countries that held elections in the past year in the shadow of the Corona pandemic, and in some countries this was done under a completely different electoral system than ours - by mail, online and by telephone - so it is irrelevant.

""But in countries where the system is like ours, manual, the studies showed that there was a decrease of about 20% in the voting rate, so the rate in our country decreased significantly compared to what happened in the world. This is as a result of all the steps we took.".
