On his program on the Galei Tzahal radio station, Gaon said: "I have a request for those who refuse to be vaccinated. With all due respect - please put a sign on their forehead that says 'Caution, I am not vaccinated', so that we know who they are walking down the street and we can run away from them.".

"And this is because I am afraid of them, and just as they use their legal right over their bodies, I seek to utilize my legal right over my own body to protect myself from them. I am afraid that they will infect me with the right of the law that says 'the right of the individual to decide on his actions and desires in accordance with his choice, and that every person is free from interference with his body without his consent.'.

"The law sounds good, appropriate, and enlightened, but I am convinced that the drafters of the law did not take into account (when drafting it) the possibility of a global catastrophe such as a contagious epidemic in which a person is not alone in the struggle and his body, which has rights, becomes part of many and their rights to live.".

He added: "This is an emergency situation in which human rights may be at stake, a classic case in which certain laws must adapt to one-time, global situations such as a pandemic and vaccination. 'Your right to your body,' says the law, but what can you do when your body, during a pandemic, close to mine in the supermarket, in the cafe, in the garden, at school, can infect me and even kill me? Where is my right to live?"

"Dear vaccine refuser, please exercise your right not to be vaccinated and stay home, do not leave until the pandemic is over, respect my right to stay healthy. Laws are created as an auxiliary means to improve life in order to make it more normal and decent. A law is a tool, not an end, and if a law becomes an end, it loses its essence, and in times of pandemic it turns from something that helps human beings live into a mere burden that can cause their death.".
