Minister Shai Piron is desperate: "Urdu education is expanding more than we expected""

A significant portion of the institutions that sought to join the state-run Haredi network involve students who are not from the Haredi sector, while these institutions were previously part of the state-run religious system, and today have only exchanged the 'sponsorship' for the state-run Haredi. I am sorry that after this absurd plan has completely collapsed, the Minister dares to present a false representation, as if the Haredi public were sold out for lentil stew and are exchanging their lifestyle and faith for joining an alienated program, all for a budget stew.".

Continuing his remarks, MK Asher emphasized that the Ministry of Education is using the empty title of 'My Haredi Kingdom', solely to continue to slash and cut Haredi education budgets in every parameter. And not only that, but even in special education, in helpless children who are completely dependent on the mercy of the system, these children are also severely discriminated against by the Minister of Education and are not entitled to a proper learning place within the framework of the integration of exempt institutions, to which they belong.

""It's a shame that the many programs you present in the ministry - education for moral and civic excellence, promoting meaningful learning, and other various and strange names - you present as a reform whose implementation will take several terms, since this requires the implementation of a stable and gradual process. But to spoil and destroy the Haredi education system, it takes you half a term. There is no patience and degree there. You seek to re-educate this huge public, with blindness and the imagination of a bang and a gimmar.

""It is impossible to use terms of concern for the child's safety and well-being only towards children of one type of society, and on the other hand to discriminate against a child whose parents chose to raise him according to their deep-rooted Jewish faith," said MK Asher.
