Maran Harav Kanievsky and Maran Rosh Yeshiva Harav Edelstein are issuing a clear instruction to the public this evening (Sunday) - about the duty of caution and protection, in light of the dramatic increase in morbidity. In a call to be published this morning in the Haredi daily, it is written about the opinion of the eminent Jewish leaders: Due to the increasing number of people infected with the virus these days, and in order to prevent the danger of illness and pain, may God be pleased with them, and so that it does not cause the cancellation of Torah study and prayer in public, it is necessary to continue to be very careful with the methods of protection and caution: 1. The elderly and those who are concerned, and everyone who is able, should be careful not to stay in closed places, and should even try to pray in courtyards and open places. 2. With utmost care not to gather in a dangerous manner at celebrations and any gathering, the celebrations should be held at the required distance and without gatherings. 3. All those who have even the slightest concern about illness, should be careful not to go to public places, not even to Torah synagogues, churches and educational institutions. 4. Everyone who is able to get vaccinated should do so in prayer that this business will be for healing and intercession.
