""Levvot" is not a standard name for a single by an observant singer, and yet, Meir Ben Dror, a singer, composer, and cantor full of color and life - calls his new song by this name, explaining the significance of his role in the IDF 14 years ago as a religious non-commissioned officer among Jewish "Levvot".

Ben Dror feels that this is the exact timing to release the song again.
""I remember how I passed by a large group of soldiers who were loudly singing this melody, which I brought there. I said to myself then – this is my most important song, and I'm already waiting to release it.".
The current single is based on the prayer "Neshmat Kol Chai", the highlight of every Jewish Sabbath. This prayer is full of thanksgiving and praise to God Almighty. "The recurring motif in the song is - 'And all hearts will see You' which ignites in me a longing for those days, as a messenger and activist of Jewish consciousness in the IDF. To this day I am moved by the unique gift I was given at the time - to bring 'hearts' together, to bring soul to a place, in Shabbat songs, weekly parashats and hymns that uplift the soul," he says.
Meir studied at a Hesder yeshiva and served full regular service in the army as a religious non-commissioned officer at the officers' school. Even in those days, he did not neglect his great love of singing and creating. He continued to be a cantor and singer as part of his military duties and not only that, and among other things, he composed 50 different melodies. "When the melody for 'Hearts' was born, I felt that there was something special in it, I decided that I would invest more in it. Recently, an enlightenment has dawned on me that the people of Israel need a rapprochement of hearts...".
The song was recorded about a year ago, but recently, due to the global crisis, it was decided that it was "its time" to be released.
Meir is not just a singer, he is first and foremost a Jew who loves to thank God for everything He gives him, which is why he chose to sing from a prayer filled with thanksgiving to God, as he believes that from thanksgiving abundance will grow. This single is a prayer song, with a rich meaning of thanksgiving to God, in a positive and uplifting rhythm that Ben Dror promises to continue to inspire in his audience from now on and forever.
