Who will win? This is the list of 11 candidates from which the next State Attorney will be chosen

The search committee for candidates for the position of State Attorney convened today (Tuesday) for its first meeting at the Attorney General's Office in Jerusalem. Are you eligible for National Insurance?’ Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit heads the committee, which is comprised of Civil Service Commissioner Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Justice Adv. Sigal Yaakovi, Public Representative Adv. Rachel Toren, and Academic Representative Prof. Oren Gazel Eyal. According to government decisions, a candidate for the position must be qualified to be appointed as a Supreme Court judge. In addition, "the candidate must have personal and intellectual integrity, a very high professional level, and expertise in the fields of criminal law, constitutional law, and administrative law, and must possess personal qualities of legal leadership and the ability to organize the system over which he is entrusted." The government decision determined that the decisions of the search committee are made by a majority of four members, and the term of office of the State Attorney was set at six years. Today's discussion was devoted to determining the committee's work procedures, including determining the relevant criteria for evaluating the various candidates who submitted their candidacies to the Civil Service Commission. At the end of the first discussion, the committee decided to invite for an interview: All those who submitted applications and were found to meet the threshold conditions.
