The Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Itamar Grotto, was involved in a minor car accident this morning (Wednesday) in Hod Hasharon, his city of residence.
A 29-year-old gardener was slightly injured in the stomach in the accident, who was treated by rescue forces and taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
According to the injured person, Prof. Grotto was driving at a slow speed.

The accident occurred not far from Prof. Grotto's home, apparently when he was reversing the vehicle.
An emergency medical medic riding an MDA motorcycle, Yair Levy, said: "When we arrived at the scene, the injured man was lying conscious and suffering from injuries to his body. We provided him with initial medical treatment on the spot and he was taken to the hospital in an MDA ambulance in stable condition.".
