Couldn't we hold Torah study without raising the height of the flames?

From the day I stood up for myself, that is, from the time I was a baby at the age of 7, that is, 57 years, I do not remember such a black day of wall-to-wall humiliation of the Haredim! Such a disgrace and humiliation of the honor of the Torah to the point of dust, may God have mercy on him.

We've been through 'Where is Yosla', the Panthers, the leftists - Uri Avnery, Chaika Grossman, Yossi Sarid, Shulamit Aloni and Co., Attorney Yehuda Resler, the Awakening movement and so on and so forth... But now, decent secularists with whom I have working relationships are shocked!

There are reports of terrible destructive venom on the internet and in all the media, and even Bibi and Ohana have joined the chorus of barkers. I hope, with God's help, that the murky wave will pass and leave no scars.

Beyond the possibility of our life as Haredim in the Land of Israel, we also have the law of guarantee of proximity. But in this situation, it is almost impossible.

I pose a question:

I don't know exactly the details that led us to this point. It is clear that the study of Torah in Tashbar is incredibly important; it is clear that the decisions of those in charge of the Corona virus are infected and interesting; but the question is: Couldn't we have maintained the study of Torah without raising the level of the flames?

Here, there are circles and communities that defiantly 'deny' coronavirus, and unfortunately they do everything quietly...

In light of the above, I imposed a speech fast on myself. I was turned away from all means of communication and refused to go on the air, because I did not have the self-confidence that I have had in the divine assistance of interviews for many years, in front of the big dogs of the neighborhood - in Haredi hasbara. To the Duma in Beit Shemesh, in the military, and so on and so forth.

And He is merciful and will forgive sin.

Today - and tomorrow in praise - we repeated the verse of Naim Zemirot Yisrael, "This was from the Lord, it is marvelous in our eyes," in the hope that the continuation will comfort us: "This is the day the Lord has made us known, and we will rejoice in it." Amen.

Writes and signs with pain and worry,

Motka, an old man from Jerusalem
