The operation in Gaza is over, and politicians are returning to the routine of normal debates. Justice Minister and leader of the movement, Tzipi Livni, once again attacks the investment in the isolated settlements.
In a post she published on her Facebook page, Livni wrote: "Investing in the settlements around Gaza - this is the right Zionist act. They deserve it. Now it is clearer than ever that a new Zionist order of priorities is needed: investing in the settlements around Gaza, encouraging settlement, construction, benefits for settlers, strengthening security and measures to prevent terrorists from entering through new tunnels (which it is to be assumed will be there).
And here she moves on to attack the settlements, "And when they ask me where the money comes from? I say without hesitation: From the isolated settlements in Judea and Samaria.".
Livni explains the difference, "These are homeland territories, these are Israelis who live in the face of the conflict. It's just that investing in the settlements around Gaza is a long-term investment, which makes it clear to everyone that thanks to these settlements, Israel's permanent border will remain flourishing, vibrant, recognized and legitimate. And investing in the isolated settlements does exactly the opposite," Livni said.
