The Knesset plenum is meeting this afternoon (Thursday) with the aim of finally approving the general lockdown regulations that will begin tomorrow at 2:00 PM, for two weeks.

The discussion was delayed due to a left-wing demonstration held outside the Knesset, during which cow dung was thrown at the Mishkan.

Minister Dudi Amsalem, who arrived late to the plenary session, said: "I was on my way to the Knesset. The square was blocked by anarchists who shouted at me, 'You fat, thief, swindler, maniac, you scoundrel, you will go to prison.'".

'"There are thousands at the protests, it's impossible to keep a distance. They gave them capsules and they laughed at the police. If they want to harm themselves, let them, but if they travel with me on the ship and drill a hole, they'll drown us all.".

""This is not the demonstration. This is what is happening in the public consciousness. If the Attorney General, Hayut and Meltzer allow them to demonstrate and it is more important than Yom Kippur prayers, then why shouldn't I go with my children to visit my mother. To come to pray with a thousand people? In prayer you come to the name of heaven.".

Amsalem exclaimed: "Should I teach you, Mr. Mandelblit? How do you compare prayer to a demonstration?".

MK Tamar Zandberg of Meretz interrupted Amsalem: "Tell me, aren't you ashamed? Is this what you're doing? Protests all day? There are no unemployed and no sick people?".

Minister Amsalem responded to Zandberg: "I always knew you were a violent woman, even when I was the chairman of a committee, you disrupted discussions and I threw you out. You've been shouting and being violent all day.".

During the discussion, Knesset members from Likud and Yesh Atid clashed.

MK Shlomo Kari said: "Is mourning allowed on Balfour Street, but not allowed in synagogues? When people saw that they were allowed and we were not allowed, they didn't accept it. Three or four months ago, when they saw that public trust was being damaged, they should have ousted Mandelblit and ousted the Blue and White ministers.".
