The Academy for the Ultra-Orthodox: This is why everyone is flocking to study a prestigious degree from homeThe lawsuit was filed over a series of tweets in which, they say, he defamed them, writing that they were "members of a cult," seeking to establish in the public consciousness that they were a "bad stain," and calling for them not to be employed in public service.
The 75 plaintiffs claim in the lawsuit that the "offensive and false tweets" were intended to seriously discredit each of them, and to undermine their credibility and integrity.
The plaintiffs add that the tweets harm their position and professional standing. They claim that they are harming their good name, an attempt to cast blame and undermine the integrity of each of the plaintiffs.
The lawsuit indicates that there was a demand for an apology and negotiations that were unsuccessful.
Netanyahu's representatives responded: "These delusional and ridiculous silencing claims no longer even make Yair yawn.".
