The Corona Projector, Prof. Roni Gamzo, held discussions last night (Sunday) with the relevant parties, in order to obtain an up-to-date picture of the decision to approve the entry into Israel of 17,000 students and yeshiva students - who are arriving in Israel for an extended period, in the coming months.
In the end, you'll regret being a sucker: Maybe you deserve a lot of money from National Insurance.
The discussions took place with the Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Yitzhak (Bozi) Herzog, Prof. Shlomo Mor Yosef - Head of the Population Authority, Dr. Ashi Shalmon from the Ministry of Health, and representatives of the National Council of Jewish Communities.
If you do what he did, there's a good chance you'll be settled in life. Want to too?
According to the data presented at the meeting, this involves up to 2,000 students attending universities; up to 12,000 yeshiva students; up to 5,000 participants in the Masa project, about 500 participants in the Na'el project, and about 1,500 students in private institutions.
The Ministry of Health notes that at this stage it is not yet possible to estimate how their arrival will be distributed, but it is clear that their arrival is not expected to be immediate or all at once, but rather spread out over the year, in accordance with the various plans.
The decision is to allow yeshiva students and students to arrive and enter the country only at institutions approved by the Ministry of Health, which are required to meet two-week isolation conditions in capsules of up to 6.
So far, 31 institutions out of 183 that applied have been approved.
In the discussion, Prof. Gamzo emphasized: "The Ministry of Health is careful and will continue to be careful to ensure that conditions in institutions that allow for isolation are met and requires the administrators of the institutions to commit to this. Violation of the conditions is a violation of the conditions of stay in the country, with all that this implies for both the student and the institution.".
In order to ensure that there are no exceptions at any institution, Prof. Gamzo yesterday instructed Ministry of Health personnel to conduct regular supervision and monitoring, and for this task, designated inspectors will be recruited.
Prof. Gamzo emphasized that in this complex period, a balance must be struck between protecting public health and preserving the values of the state and the connection with world Jewry. The Ministry of Health will report each week on the number of students whose admission has been approved from the various programs.
