The IDF released this afternoon (Thursday) footage from the arrest a month ago of a Hamas terrorist who attempted to swim from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.
The naval command system located the suspect and directed the fighters of Squadron 916 and the fighters of the Navy's Fin Unit to him.

The terrorist was arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for questioning. The IDF statement said: "The Naval Branch will continue to act to thwart terrorist activities in the maritime environment at all times.".
The terrorist, Ezz al-Din Hussein, a 24-year-old resident of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, infiltrated Israel about a month ago due to personal difficulties on a family level and after persecution and slander by senior Hamas officials.
Hussein's interrogation by the Shin Bet revealed that in 2013 he was recruited into Hamas' military wing and, from 2018 until his arrest, he operated in Hamas' air defense system, among other things, in a command position as head of a shoulder-launched missile squad.
As part of this role, he kept an anti-aircraft missile in his home and was instructed to launch it at an Israeli helicopter whenever it landed near his home in Gaza, in order to kill Israeli soldiers or kidnap them.
As part of his activity in Hamas, Hussein took part in various training and military activities against the State of Israel.
Thus, as part of his service in the Hamas air defense system, Hussein learned about Israeli Air Force aircraft and their functions, anti-aircraft missiles, as well as binoculars and cameras for observing the movement of Israeli aircraft in the skies over Gaza.
Hussein's activity in Hamas and the extensive knowledge he acquired in this framework led to a unique investigation that revealed a great deal of intelligence about the Hamas organization for the Shin Bet.
Upon completion of the investigation, the Southern District Attorney's Office today (Thursday) filed an indictment with the Beer Sheva District Court accusing Hussein of serious security offenses.
