Defense Minister Benny Gantz decided today (Wednesday) to enter isolation due to suspected exposure to a coronavirus patient last Sunday evening.
The patient he was exposed to is a family member.
The Defense Minister's office said: "Gantz is feeling well and will continue to manage the affairs of the ministry and his other public activities from isolation.".
The Ministry of Defense reports that in the coming hours, measures will be installed at his home that will allow him to fulfill his duties.
Gantz tweeted: "Let's start from the bottom line: I feel great, and intend to continue working as always, just remotely.
""There is a suspicion that on Sunday evening I was exposed to a coronavirus patient. After consulting with medical officials, I will go into isolation, conduct a coronavirus test and an epidemiological investigation, and act exactly according to the instructions. There is no room for taking risks. Only health for everyone.".
