A two-year-old baby and his 13-year-old brother accidentally boarded the wrong train that began its journey from Tel Aviv to Beer Sheva, alone without their mother.

The railway workers worked to reunite the family.

""I was in immense anxiety and helplessness, and I could already imagine the children arriving in Beersheba and being lost forever," said Bat El Mizrahi, the children's mother. "We were on our way to a birthday celebration in Ramla, and despite what happened, we didn't give up and made it to the celebration. Thank you to the train crews for their dedication.".

It all started on Sunday, when Meni Natani, shift manager at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station, noticed an agitated passenger on the platform. After brief questioning, he realized that the passenger's children, a two-year-old baby and a 13-year-old boy, had mistakenly boarded a train that was heading toward Beersheba, while the mother remained on the platform with their sister.

Natani contacted the national railway control center via the emergency frequency and informed all railway crews in the area about the incident. At the same time, the railway security center began scanning the station platforms.

At that time, the train inspector, Roy Amar, began an extensive search of the train. He located the frightened brothers, reported their discovery, and escorted them to their disembarkation at Holon station, where they met the station security guard who escorted them until they met their mother, who was accompanied by the head of the security guard, Aitgeb Andelmao.

""As soon as I realized what had happened, I remembered my 3-year-old daughter, and it was important to me to constantly reassure the mother and inform her that the incident was under control," said Natani. "I emphasized to her that the children had been found and we were keeping them safe until they were returned to her arms.".

Aitgeb Andelmao: "Now, as we enter the summer holidays, I emphasize to parents the importance of constantly supervising their children on the train platforms. It was important for me to personally accompany the mother until she met her children so that she would know that we are here for her.".

Roy Amar added: "I rushed to locate the lost children on the train and calm the oldest one who was frightened. This is part of my job as the train conductor and I am glad I was able to help and that everything ended peacefully.".
