Bnei Brak Police Station Commander, Lt. Col. Yair Weizenberg, and ZAKA Tel Aviv Director General, Rabbi Zvi Hasid, arrived today (Friday) to comfort the family of ZAKA Tel Aviv volunteer, Rabbi Rafi Sheinfeld, who passed away after contracting the coronavirus.
The police chief said that he himself was at home for two months, after falling ill with the coronavirus - and that his first exit from his home was to this house, to express his pain and appreciation for the late volunteer Rafi, who, together with the other volunteers, "performed a sacred work that cannot be described in words.".
Rabbi Rafael Ephraim Sheinfeld, z"l, was responsible for the bereavement equipment department in Bnei Brak and a senior volunteer at the ZAKA Tel Aviv organization.
He died last Saturday at the age of 59, after contracting the coronavirus. He left behind 12 children.
