The three largest courts in the world against Rabbi Eliezer BerlandAfter collecting dozens of testimonies and evidence about the conduct of Rabbi Eliezer Berland and a thorough examination of the testimony of each witness, and at the end of a series of hearings that lasted nearly a year and a half, the judges of the Special Court today (Thursday) issued a firm and unequivocal decision: "He who guards his life will stay away from him and we are obligated to act accordingly.".

The recording is revealed: Rabbi Berland speaks disdainfully and mocks the Gra”a zt”l.

The court was headed by the Gaon Rabbi Shariel Rosenberg, abbot of the Bnei Brak Beit Din Tzedek, founded by the Grand Rabbi Karlitz, zt"l; the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Stern, a judge of the 'Zichron Meir' Beit Din Tzedek, founded by Rabbi Wasner, zt"l and rabbi of the West of Bnei Brak; and the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Fischer, a judge of the 'Ultra-Orthodox Community' in Jerusalem.

After describing the content of the testimonies as "acts that should not be done and extremely serious acts," the judges state: "It is clear that according to the wisdom of our Holy Torah, whoever does not guard against things that are among the gravest and most serious, the guardian of his soul will keep him away from him and we are obligated to act accordingly.".

The decision is joined by the Gabaed of the Eda Haredi, the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, the Ravabaed of the Eda Haredi, the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, and the Gabaed of Zichron Meir, the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Meir Halevi Wasner.

Out of awareness of the enormous scope of the problem, the world's three largest courts united to establish a special court to investigate the case, and after a sufficient evidentiary foundation was formed, the leader of the Shuvo Banim community was officially invited to a frontal confrontation with the complainants and to present his arguments.

The invitation letter is supported by nine other important rabbis of the generation, who express their full confidence in the Special Court.

Rabbi Berland - currently in prison until the end of the legal proceedings against him in the "Black Oppression" affair - expressed his agreement to appear before this court, on the condition that a letter be published ordering the cessation of what he called "the slander against him." The judges agreed to publish the letter, but Rabbi Berland withdrew his request and did not agree to appear before the court in person. Instead, he used the power of his two grandsons, Chaim Reicher and Zephaniah Sheinfeld, and as a rabbinical advocate, he enlisted Abba Turetzky.

According to the fighters in Rabbi Berland, the opportunity given to the leader of "Shuvo Banim" - who has already been convicted of serious acts committed against women - to refute the allegations against him was used to bring in false witnesses, forge documents, and change versions from hearing to hearing.

In the ruling, the judges also take a very harsh view of the Shabbatot that developed in the Shuvo Banim community, as an attempt to deal with the reality of "righteous - criminal," calling on the public to "root out and uproot this heretical opinion from within us.".
