Finance Minister Yisrael Katz announced today (Wednesday) that he has decided to appoint the Turner-Eyal Foundation as the CEO of his ministry.
Turner previously served as Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, and was fired last week by incoming Minister Miri Regev - a dismissal that caused a stir due to the way it was carried out.

Minister Katz said: "I am convinced that Keren, who was also appointed by me to the position of Director General of the Ministry of Transportation and has performed her duties well, is endowed with all the necessary qualifications to fulfill the important and complex role of Director General of the Ministry of Finance during this challenging period, and I wish her great success.".
According to a report in Kan News, Katz announced the appointment minutes before he was scheduled to meet with outgoing Finance Minister Shai Babad.
In response, Babad handed his resignation letter to Katz's chief of staff and left the scene in anger, without meeting with the minister.
Babad announced that he would leave the position on June 4, although he initially informed the incoming Minister of Finance that he would make himself available to the ministry indefinitely.
