The alienating eye contact of "On Our Way" is driving me crazy. Enough already

Israeli soldiers near the graves of fallen soldiers at the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery as Israel marks Memorial Day for the fallen soldiers and victims of terror on April 28, 2020. This year, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, there will be restrictions on going to the cemeteries on Memorial Day itself. More than the unnecessary polemic surrounding the siren driving me crazy, the alienating eye-catching of "Our Way" drives me crazy: "Come, let's recite a chapter of Tehillim," "Come, let's study a chapter of Mishnayot.".

Enough with this. It's so ugly.

And what do all the others do when the siren sounds? Cross their arms? Cross their mouth? Simply stand and don't move. A movement that is not at all foreign to the believer.

So come on. If you want to wallow in old anger (which may have been justified) and not mention it - don't mention it.

But if you're already taking a good step and taking it to heart and noting it - what's the point of blatantly withdrawing from the public at such big moments?

The Torah commandment "You shall not gather together" includes two prohibitions. One concerns the manner of mourning for the dead, and the second is the prohibition against division: "You shall not form associations of associations.".

Here is a case in which the two prohibitions are combined into one prohibition: If you are already grieving, please do not grieve in associations.
