We're on sale, but it's not worth it.

The recent events have been defined by the defense establishment as 'Operation Protective Edge' • However, in an operation, as in an operation, not everything always goes well: the customer does not pay the agreed price, and sometimes he even pushes for an additional package that was not agreed upon in the original deal.

How much strength does it take to sit down and write a column on days like these?.

The nine days came like a train with no brakes, only we are the ones lying on the tracks, unable to get up and escape...

We hadn't finished crying over the shocking murder of the three hostages, and we embarked on Operation Protective Edge. And the truth? Now, almost three weeks after embarking on the operation, I understand very well why they called it an operation and not a war.

Yes, just like in a food chain sale, the marketing brains sit around and discuss how to get the most money out of customers without giving them anything. And just like in a marketing sale, you are given a product and you actually get something else. And just like in a sale at the store near your house, you come to purchase something specific and you leave with a bunch of additional products that you don't need at all and when you get home - your wife lynches you for (again) wasting money and when do you even use a flowerpot with a shocking orange plastic flower?!

The same goes for "Operation Protective Edge" (hereinafter referred to as the war).

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense smugly announced that they were embarking on an "operation." With goals. With a defined price. They even exercised discretion in the momentum elections to go to the platform in order to receive maximum exposure with a minimum payment to the media (prime time in the media).

When they met the client (hereinafter Hamas) they received a completely different price from what was agreed upon... This is in addition to the fact that we also received the tunnels in the 1+1 package. In Akashish. "The landlord has gone crazy!" "Only today!" Good for them at Hamas. They didn't even enter into negotiations. They just shoved the additional product into our original deal.

Then the price went up and up (more deaths and more deaths, Rahl).

But that's how it works. That's just how it works. Understand. It's not Bibi. It's an operation.

That's exactly why we didn't go to war. War has completely different rules.

It has a high upfront price.

And the higher the price of the product, the harder it is to sell it to the public.

That's how it works. That's the reality.

So friends, stop letting the best marketing experts confuse your minds. We are at war. A war of survival for the residents of the Land of Israel. We are in a real and painful war, and its price is high (as we have already come to know).

We need to pray hard and strong that this war will end as quickly as possible, so that the high price will not continue to be deducted from our bank account.

And may we be blessed to see our righteous Messiah in the building soon in our days, Amen.

Then all the nations of the world will come to serve us faithfully and build tunnels for all residents abroad who will need to make the pilgrimage, so from here I would like to convey one message to Hamas: It's good that you have specialized in building tunnels. You are going to use it a lot in the near future, just not for what you are planning.

your,
Micah Sholem.
