He has been a musician since childhood and at the age of 10, when he began playing drums and guitars, he was marked as someone who would become a successful musician. His friends called him "a Lithuanian with a Hasidic soul.".
Now, two years after launching a successful musical career, composer Shloimi Katzenlbogen presents his first single-video clip, which he composed himself - "The Song of the Dove.".
""My guitar is sacred. An instrument that connects me to my heart, to depth, to purity and to the spirit," says Shloimi. "From a very young age, I would bang on anything I could and drum for my own pleasure. My parents sent me to a teacher to learn professionally, and from there I received the special rhythms that I expound with all the energy in the world.".
His debut single, a moving and moralizing melody in David Toib's musical arrangement, is presented by Shloimi Katzenelbogen in a particularly moving music video, filmed in selected locations in Israel, with attention to the smallest details, under the direction of the 'Bazhat' video division team, who were entrusted with the elaborate production.
During the clip, Shloimi provides new meaning to the words of the Gemara in Tractate Eruvin: Jonah said before the Holy One, Blessed be He: "O Lord of the world, my fornications will be as bitter as this in your hand, and they will not be sweet as honey in the hands of flesh and blood" - while connecting the words of the Gemara to contemporary locations and introducing the message to the viewer.
In a conversation with Shloimi, he reveals that his dream has always been "to connect through music with each and every one of us, to be moved together, to sing songs of longing and longing, and to reach the heights of Israel as one man with one heart and say, 'We will do and we will be heard.'".
According to him, he "feels a huge sense of mission to sing and play. Whether it's at celebrations, with the sick, or in the Komzitzim. My mission is to open the heart and connect with our inner selves, to our Father in Heaven. My view of singing is like an open moral book from which the words pour out, cleansing the soul and purifying the mind.".
The clip also features a group of yeshiva students, hosted by Shloimi, who is considered a comedian with a unique and exciting character, while inspiring the audience to great and captivating singing at eye level and in the language of the participants.
