In our foolishness we fell into this trap and then were pushed into their second lie.

The plan of the century presented by the US president sparked a heated debate among us. This plan has enormous advantages for the people of Israel, with American agreement to apply Israeli law to large parts of Judea and Samaria. But alongside this, the plan talks about the establishment of a Palestinian state, free passage between Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip, and more.

Some say: Israel should accept the plan and implement its positive elements. The other elements are unrealistic anyway, because the other side rejects them outright. Under these conditions, a Palestinian state will never be established, and in the meantime, facts on the ground will be determined.

However, the Israeli agreement to establish a Palestinian state should not be taken lightly.

Here a destructive principle has been established for us, invalid in itself, and also from a tactical perspective – one never knows how things will unfold, and we may find ourselves in the future caught in the trap we put ourselves into.

The invented people

Israel must reject outright the idea of a Palestinian state, because it is entirely based on lies and deceit. The lie begins with the creation of the 'Palestinian people' – an invented people, which never existed. This 'people' was created solely for the purpose of the struggle against Israel.

For centuries, Arabs did indeed live here, in very small numbers, in small, isolated villages, without any common national identity. They were no different from their brothers in Egypt or Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. On the contrary, many of the 'Palestinians' immigrated here from neighboring countries, at the same time as the Jews immigrated to the land. If a people had lived here, the Balfour Declaration would not have designated the land for the Jewish people. Even the nations of the world knew that the land was considered empty, even though a few Arabs lived there.

In our foolishness, we fell into this trap and began to recognize the existence of a Palestinian people. From here we were pushed into the second lie – if there is a people, it is only natural that they would demand a state for themselves. But the Arabs of Judea, Samaria and Gaza do not want a state for themselves at all. They have one goal – to deny the existence of the Jewish state.

Here we are, out of the entire Gaza Strip. If the Arabs wanted to, they would build a prosperous life for themselves and live alongside us in peace. But they prefer to live in substandard conditions, and invest all their resources in missiles and sabotage plots, in order to continue fighting us. Does anyone believe that it will be any different in Judea and Samaria?

  We tried twice.

Therefore, our position must be clear and sharp – in the Western Land of Israel there is no place for any additional state, neither large nor small, neither independent nor demilitarized, neither autonomy nor any other name or designation. This is an unfortunate idea, which will only distance peace, increase friction and conflict, and endanger the security of the residents of the entire country.

They say you don't have to eat the whole egg to know it's rotten. We tried the Oslo Accords, which granted independence to the Palestinian Authority. Thousands of Jews paid with their lives for this unfortunate adventure. We tried to leave the Gaza Strip, and we received rocket barrages on the entire south and the Dan Bloc. It's time to say enough to these delusional ideas and to state unequivocally that a Palestinian state will not be established here.
