The Storm of Exclusion: As part of the annual fundraising evening for the 'Ezra Lamarfa' association, headed by Rabbi Elimelech Pirer, which will take place next month, a 'Tribute Show to Shlomo Artzi' will be held, celebrating five decades of his career. The event will take place at the Tel Aviv Hall of Culture, with the participation of the Philharmonic Orchestra, in the presence of President Reuven Rivlin and hosted by Eyal Kitsis and Orly Vilnai. Last night, it was revealed on 'A Good Evening with Guy Pines' on Keshet 12 that although this is an event intended for a secular public, at the request of Rabbi Pirer - the Israel Prize laureate - the show will not include singers. Rabbi Firer asked for “no singers” at Shlomo Artzi’s show – and the left is rioting As expected, after the revelation, left-wing spokespeople erupted in protest over the so-called 'exclusion of women.' Some of the artists who were supposed to perform had already announced that they had canceled their participation. Singer Shlomo Artzi himself wrote on his Facebook page: "I now intend to do everything in my power to convince the Honorable Rabbi to change his mind." The one who launched an attack against the left's rant was singer Yishai Lapidot, who tweeted on his Twitter account: "You asked for the Haredim to be involved, you wanted us to be part, you irritated and cried over the segregation and ghettoism. Some of you are trying to force a 'correct education' on the children of the sector... and now it is forbidden to hold an evening in honor of the Israeli king of kindness, Rabbi Pirr, according to his perception and the laws of his life, because it is 'exclusion', Alek." Lapidot added: "Go look for us! Attached to this are ads for events with 'exclusion.'" Lapidot attached ads to the tweet that market performances by secular singers without female singers.
