The funeral of Rabbi Karelitz, who died last night at the 'Ma'eni Hayeshua' hospital, will leave at noon from his seminary in the Ramat Aharon neighborhood.

The funeral procession left at 12:00 from Rabbi Akiva Street at the corner of Hashomer in Bnei Brak towards the cemetery on Hazon Ish Street, where he will be buried.

Starting at 11:00 AM, the following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:

• Hashomer Street in the section between Jabotinsky Street and Ezra Street in both directions.
• Rabbi Akiva Street will be closed to traffic in both directions in the section between Hashomer Street and Jerusalem Street.
•Hazon Ish Street will be closed in the section between Rabbi Akiva Street and Jerusalem Boulevard in Ramat Gan.

The roads will open gradually as the funeral procession progresses.

Traffic congestion is expected and drivers are asked not to travel to the area.

'"The public is asked to be patient with the restrictions imposed for reasons of public safety and public order," the police said.

The funeral is expected to feature eulogies from Maran Rosh Yeshiva, the Rabbi Edelstein, the Rabbi Lando, the Rabbi of Slobodka, the Rabbi Povarsky, the Rabbi of Ponevezh, his son, the Rabbi of the Heligman Synagogue, and his son-in-law, the Rabbi Rosenberg, who continues as head of the Beit Din.

The city's rabbis announced the cancellation of services during the funeral.

The court of the Grand Rabbi of Karlitz will be closed during all days of the 'Shiva'.

The Chief Rabbi of the Rabbi Yosef ordered the students of his yeshiva, Chazon Ovadia, and the yeshivahs under his presidency, to stop their studies and go to the funeral. "According to the halacha, it is ruled that a teacher who gives instructions to many people who nullify the Torah and go to accompany him.".
