They told of Rabbi Yehuda bar Ilai, who would drink 4 cups of wine on Seder night and would "gird up his sides" - tie a cloth around his head until Shavuot, to avoid the headaches caused by the wine.

It is important to know that it is not recommended to drink wine on an empty stomach.

But since on Seder night the first glass is before eating, we will look for a soft wine that is not full and strong, that slides easily down the throat and will not weigh us down before eating.

At this stage, it is recommended to drink the minimum amount and not drink too much wine.

Second glass -

The second glass comes right before the rich meal, so it's worth drinking a wine that stimulates the appetite.

Third glass -

The third glass is poured at the end of the meal, after the meat and chicken, so Modiin Winery recommends a dominant and powerful wine suitable to accompany the meal..

Fourth cup -

When the fourth glass arrives, which seals the meal and ends the evening, it is advisable to drink a dessert wine with a long finish or port-style wines, which will leave us with a good taste in our mouths.

And finally, the winemaker recommends:

During the meal, Drink water between glasses. Water is a moderating factor that can counteract the effects of drinking wine on the body. Water dilutes the amount of alcohol in the stomach and slows down its effects.

Avoid drinking carbonated drinks, cola, soda, and sparkling wines.

Drink the wine slowly, in measured sips. This way you will enjoy the quality of the wine and taste it properly, and you will not feel its burden.

If after all this you still suffer from headaches, don't rush to take aspirin, just take vitamin C or B6, which alleviate the hangover and help absorb the alcohol properly.
