At a special recess meeting, held at the request of about 50 Knesset members from the opposition factions, the failure of negotiations with the Palestinians and the failure to release Jonathan Pollard from prison were discussed.

The chairman of the United Torah Judaism faction, MK Menachem Eliezer Mozes, attacked the linking of Pollard's release to the release of terrorists and said that the State of Israel is proceeding with complete blindness regarding the issue of negotiations. "The negotiations currently underway with the Palestinians are nothing more than a game, in my opinion. The Palestinians declare from every platform that they will not be satisfied with anything less than a Palestinian state along the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital. Israel knows that it will not be able to exist along these lines, and that transferring the territories in full to the Palestinian Authority will result in the state of Hamastan in Judea and Samaria. And yet the representatives continue to meet and discuss. And not only that, but Israel paid in cash for the negotiations, by releasing hundreds of vile murderers, in three installments.

""Where is the Jewish heart? How can we see the Palestinians' jubilation with the release of prisoners in the previous stages, in the face of the pain, grief and sorrow of the bereaved families? And where is the Jewish head? How is the government blind to the fact that they have no desire at all to reach a peace agreement? They are the scapegoats in Israel and throughout the world, but that did not stop the government from releasing so many prisoners with blood on their hands, in order to receive nothing and nothing again. And as the saying goes: Take the nothing and hold on to it tightly.".

Regarding Jonathan Pollard, Moses said that a true friend like the United States is expected to release him from prison regardless of negotiations. "In a week, the people of Israel will gather for the Seder night. Everyone will celebrate the Seder in their homes and with their families, except for one Israeli citizen, who will supposedly spend this Seder night, as in the past 29 years, within the prison walls. Jonathan Pollard has been languishing in prison for almost 30 years. During those years, his father and mother passed away and they did not allow him to do even the most humane thing, to attend his parents' funeral and allow them to say Kaddish, sit for shiva and observe the laws of mourning. Today, he is approaching 60 years old, and has been a prisoner for half of his life. Physically, he suffers from many illnesses, and in the past two years alone, he has been hospitalized in intensive care 5 times. How much can you abuse a living person? Where are all the human rights organizations of all kinds?""

Rabbi Moses concluded: "If the US is truly our friend, it will not link Pollard's release to the release of hundreds of terrorists in the fourth wave. After 30 years in prison, it will release him without conditions. And that he can celebrate Passover 2014 with God's help at home.".
