Israel Davidovich, who signs under the name 'Pintel', is a Jerusalem designer from the Mea Shearim neighborhood who signed this special ad for 'Main Sheik.' His design style is modernly inspired and the conservative Haredi motifs create a completely graceful ad.
The designer's words to 'Pashkville': "In the current campaign, in preparation for Passover, we sought to break our advertising routine and decided to go with the simplest message: to express the uniqueness of the place, what makes 'Main Sheik' what it is, the fact that it is the only place that has every shoe, for every Haredi man.
""We held a photo day where we photographed several types of clothing with the shoes tailored for them, to express the variety that can be found in the store. The coffee expresses the message 'In the end, everyone meets at Main Sheik,' because despite the disputes and differences of opinion in the sector, 'Main Sheik' unites everyone.".
The ad was sent to the newspaper Hamodia. But it turns out that the newspaper's spiritual critic is sensitive to covered and modest feet. So it happened that even when the censored version was sent to the newspaper, it was not published either.
why?
""There are modern shoes there, they don't fit.".
