The concerns about leaven on Passover are renewed every year: if in recent years they have begun to insist on kosher soaps and shampoos for Passover, this year they discovered a new problem that has not been discussed until now - the mesh on top of the roulade meat.

The Haredi Badatz and Rabbi Landa's Kosher Authority announced that they tested the chain's kosher status this year, and that the raw materials from which it is made are not leavened.

The strictness of peeling fruits and vegetables has been practiced for generations in various circles, but this morning an ad was published in the four Haredi daily newspapers, also on behalf of Rabbi Efrati's Kashrut: "This year it is mandatory to peel apples on Passover.".

The problem with apples, according to the ad this morning, is a problem that has been particularly acute this year. The ad states: "In many Israeli communities, it was customary to peel apples before using them on Passover, and the mishna that applies to Passover indicates that there are many apples with wax applied to them, as is customary when imported from abroad.".

In the field of disposable utensils, which are currently sold in ultra-Orthodox stores only as Badatz kosher for Passover, some claim that they are free from chametz concerns. The head of the Kashrut Department of Industry and Manufacturing of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, Rabbi Hagai Bar-Giora, published the findings of tests he conducted on the subject. The test shows that in the vast majority of disposable utensils, there is no concern about the presence of chametz, and there is no need to look for special kosher for Passover - except for baking paper and paper cups.
