As part of the international outreach efforts and a round of interviews that Minister Naftali Bennett is conducting with foreign networks, he gave an interview to Al Jazeera.
Bennett went on the air immediately after the press conference held by Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal.
During the interview, Bennett rejected claims against Israel's conduct during Operation Protective Edge and clarified: "Israel will not tolerate the reality of a terrorist state under its nose. We will fight and we will also win, we will continue the pressure, we will expand our operation against their headquarters, we will reach everyone involved in shooting at Israeli civilians."
Regarding Khaled Meshaal's words, Bennett said: "Mishaal is talking nonsense as usual. Hamas is under tremendous pressure, as it should be. I don't think the world is rushing to help Hamas, because everyone understands that this is a terrorist organization no different from Al-Qaeda or ISIS, just another extremist Islamic terrorist organization.
"The UN is trying to calm things down, but at this moment Hamas continues to fire rockets at my house and my children. They will forget about a ceasefire if the rocket fire continues."
"Nine years ago," Bennett said, "Israel left the Gaza Strip and handed it over to the Palestinians. They promised to turn it into the Singapore of the Middle East, but instead it became the hell of the Middle East. We will not tolerate a terrorist state under our noses, we will fight and we will win."
