Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon attacked his political competitors today (Sunday), during a ceremony to sign an agreement to absorb 300 contractor workers in the Jerusalem Municipality.

""People who are struggling are not interesting to the media," Kahlon said - and took a dig at Naftali Bennett and Avi Gabbay: "Politics has become a hobby for the rich - you made an exit for 300 million shekels, your bank account is calm and you're off to politics. Does anyone understand what hardship is?""

He added: "You are attacking me for the 'Price for a Tenant' program while I am giving hope to young couples. They come to me with claims about why I raised the minimum wage, why I gave out allowances. Those who criticize me earn 40 and 50 thousand shekels and no one in their family earns minimum wage.".

The Finance Minister later referred to the Blue and White party and joked about the hacking of Gantz's cell phone: "Five days of worrying about whether they took it from him or not. As Minister of Communications, I dealt with a lot of cell phones...

"They told me Gantz wanted you, you could bring in as many people as you wanted. If I had gone to another party, I wouldn't have been able to do the things I did. Instead of being Gantz's or Bibi's finance minister, I want to be your finance minister. Raising soldiers' salaries, an academic degree, savings for every child, these are actions that lead to a more just society.".
