A delicious and easy winter dessert recipe to make at home: Strawberries and Mascarpone

Ingredients (for 1 serving):

1 piece of meringue
2 tablespoons strawberry sauce
3 tablespoons mascarpone cream
4 strawberries, washed and cut into small cubes.

• In a deep plate (soup bowl), place 3/4 of the strawberry sauce at the bottom. On top, break the meringue into large pieces.

• Sprinkle the strawberry sauce over the meringue.

• Pour the mascarpone cream over the strawberry sauce.

• Sprinkle the strawberry cubes over the mascarpone cream and pour the remaining strawberry sauce over them.

Ingredients for making the meringue:

3 egg whites at room temperature
A pinch of salt
A teaspoon of neutral white vinegar
A cup of sugar

 Preparation method:

• In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vinegar at a slow speed.

• When foam begins to form, increase the whipping speed and gradually add sugar.

• Beat until the foam is white, shiny and very thick. In a baking sheet lined with baking paper, pipe kisses with a diameter of 5 cm or place with a spoon.

• Bake for about 3 hours at 110 degrees.

• After 3 hours, turn off the oven and leave the meringue in the turned-off oven with the door closed until the meringue has cooled completely.

To make strawberry sauce:

• 500 grams of strawberries - wash and remove the green leaves.

• Cut each strawberry in half. Place in a saucepan with 500 grams of white sugar and 250 ml (a cup) of water.

• Cook over low heat until all the sugar has melted and the sauce has thickened a little.

Ingredients for making mascarpone cream:

250 grams mascarpone cheese
250 ml sweet cream
150 grams of sugar
A pinch of salt

How to prepare:

• Whip the heavy cream.

• In a separate bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with the sugar and salt.

• Using gentle folding movements, mix the whipped sweet cream into the mascarpone cheese.
