At least 67 people were arrested in riots across the country.
In Shfaram in the Galilee, about 50 young people rioted, throwing stones and setting trash cans on fire. Police were on scene and no injuries were reported.
Earlier, hundreds of young Arabs began throwing stones, Molotov cocktails, and setting off fireworks at the entrance to the city of Tamra in the Western Galilee. During the clashes with the Border Police and Border Guard police, 14 demonstrators were arrested. Around 11:00 PM, tensions at the scene resumed, and hundreds of young people began marching toward the entrance to the city.
Following the clashes in Tamra, the police decided to block Highway 70, and the rioters were dispersed with riot dispersal measures, including stun grenades. The deputy mayor of Tamra, who arrived at the scene of the commotion, tried to calm the situation, but was attacked by masked men and quickly fled the scene.
In the local council of Iksal in the north, a community policing station was set on fire and stones were thrown at the fire station in Nazareth by young people who confronted the police there. At the same time, a demonstration was held in the city – on Paulus Avenue, with the participation of one hundred people. Two demonstrators were arrested.
In the village of Nahaf near Karmiel, about a hundred people, some of them masked, also demonstrated. The police there prevented them from going down to Highway 85. At the Yavor junction on Highway 70, about 200 people demonstrated in the evening. They threw stones and tried to block the road.
Riots have resumed in Jerusalem
In the A-Tur neighborhood in the east of the city, 100 masked men gathered and began throwing stones at the police. In the north of the city, in Hizma, dozens of masked youths threw stones and Molotov cocktails. The police on the spot repelled them with riot police.
In Shuafat, where the family of the murdered boy lives, the riots resumed towards the evening, and the place looks like a battlefield. The streets are full of stones, and the light rail stations are destroyed.
Near Tel Sheva in the south, Bedouin protesters also joined the 'celebration': they threw stones and Molotov cocktails, burned tires and blocked roads. Eight were arrested and taken for questioning. Residents of the Omer settlement near Be'er Sheva complained that Arabs threw stones at them.
At the Bar Ilan intersection in Jerusalem, right-wing protesters gathered alongside crowds of curious Haredi people. The road between the Bar Ilan intersection and Yehezkel Street was blocked. The protesters blocked the road intermittently, clashing with the police and horsemen.
