Shweki says: "When I was on my way to record the duet in the studio, I asked Kobe to tell me why he chose this particular song. There are many beautiful songs... but I still wanted to get into the story, to sing with all my soul.".
""And Kobe said that during the time he was in prison, every Friday afternoon in preparation for Shabbat they would sing together, literally with tears in their eyes, 'And Even in Secret'. Then Kobe saw a video online of soldiers singing it, and told himself that with God's help after his release he must record this song.".
The musical arrangement and production is by Eli Keshet, with Hanan Avital's "Flowers of Jerusalem" children's choir joining in the background.
