New singles and songs pop up every day.
""And Be with Meir Chertakov's" is different from all others.
Meir didn't seek fame, he didn't imagine a solo career, but when a tragic event befell him, he found solace in singing. Now he's releasing his debut single and even going out to perform.
""Three years ago, my wife and I experienced a terrible crisis. My daughter Malka, daughter of Rachel Hodya, was diagnosed with a very serious illness in Toshachai. It was a signal from heaven and it was as if a rope was thrown at me to get closer to Hashem, the Blessed One. I saw that Rabbi Nachman of Breslov teaches that every person has a moment in life – one moment in which he can sense exactly what the purpose of his life is, a moment that can change his world and flood him with the wonderful light of understanding his destiny and uniqueness in the world, and I longed for this moment.".
And that moment has come.
Meir says about him: "I went out to a quiet place and poured out my heart before the Lord of the Worlds, as Rabbi Nachman suggests, and when I reached the paragraph in my prayer, 'And be my helper and save me and justify me, that I may interpret my prayer before You day by day, and all that is in my heart I will bring before You' - I simply cried out to it. I cried out from the walls of my heart to God, the Blessed One. Suddenly I felt listening and understanding from heaven about my situation and the situation of my little daughter Malka, and in the process I also found myself playing and singing the melody.".
Meir continues:
"A few days have passed and the melody is playing in my mouth and heart. Something about it has not left me. I felt that this was my opportunity to shake off my personal pain and offer to every Jew the feeling of comfort that came over me when I followed Rabbi Nachman's recommendation to interpret my conversation before my Father in Heaven.".
With his composition, Meir turned to arranger Ari Farkash, who wrote the arrangement for the song, and Itzik Filmer, who contributed his talent for the vocal arrangement, and together they produced a particularly moving song, which was released ahead of the High Holy Days.
""I look forward to meeting the people of Israel at weddings, at weddings, and at any joy there may be. I love all the people of Israel and feel that I have the power to strengthen and encourage," he says.
