A bunch of fresh hyssop leaves or a handful of dried ones

2-3 teaspoons of hyssop mixture

A little salt

Non-stick pot

 • It is recommended to prepare popcorn in relatively small quantities at a time.

How to prepare

 • In a medium saucepan, heat the oil and add the corn kernels and thyme leaves.

 • Shake the pot so that the corn kernels are well coated with oil and thyme.

 • Cover the pot and leave a small gap to allow steam to escape.

 • Heat over high heat until the kernels begin to crack.

 • Shake the pot again occasionally so that the popcorn does not burn.

 • When the crackling sounds become far apart, remove from heat.

 • Add a little salt and the za'atar spice, mix well and serve.
