''Degel HaTorah' slides into internal fighting: The newspaper 'Bakhila' published tomorrow's front page this evening (Wednesday) with the headline: "A change at the top of the Lithuanian movement? An order from above: Maklev is the only address for political moves; the founder of the movement will focus on the affairs of the Finance Committee.".
The news, of course, caused a stir, and Yaakov Rivlin, the newspaper's political commentator who signed the news, tweeted again: "A preliminary version was accidentally released. Here's what will be published tomorrow. Municipal responsibility.".
Despite changing the word "political" to "municipal," what Bekhila publishes under "First Publication" still remains, about a shakeup at the top of the Degel HaTorah movement.
Haredim 10 was informed by MK Maklev's office: "Regarding the various publications - all actions taken by MK Maklev in preparation for the municipal elections are being carried out on his behalf and under the direction of the movement's chairman and party secretary-general, MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni, and with his full involvement.".
The bureau added: "There is no transfer of powers or areas of responsibility in the party that were given in the past and present by the great men of Israel. MK Maklev rejects with disgust the attempts to stir up controversy and drive a wedge in the wonderful personal unity that has existed and continued for many years.".
