A few years ago, the great composer of Jewish music, Yossi Green, participated in a Shabbat of singing and cantoring, with cantor and singer Avraami Roth leading the choir.
The surprised Green recognized his melodies played and dressed up for Shabbat prayers, and connected to the special form that Abrami presents them in his unique way.
Avremi, known as a highly sought-after artist to serve as a public messenger, asked Green to compose a fixed version of the prayer, so that the public, so thirsty for emotion in prayers, could be refreshed each time, and choose or combine the traditional version, the Carlebach version, and the Green version...
The first part of the series was dedicated to Shabbat reception and evening prayer, combining the traditional and familiar version.
The official launch of the project will take place for the first time on Shabbat Mabrachin Shevat - 'Vara', at the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem Hotel, with the participation of the 'chefs' who worked on this special dish, composer Yossi Green, performer Avremi Roth, Srulik Hershtik, the choir, and of course the project's pianist and musical producer Yehuda Galili.
