Online petition The petition calling for the sentence of Yad Sarah chairman Uri Lupoliansky to be commuted has so far garnered thousands of signatures in a short time.

The organizers of the petition, which appeals to the general public under the title "Giving Back to Uri With All Our Hearts," state: "The court's ruling borders on opaqueness. And in this case, it also borders on wickedness.".

Uri Lupoliansky is a rare man of kindness, who has spent his entire life engaged in "service work" for the public. A man who every second person in the State of Israel, and hundreds of thousands throughout the world, have benefited and continue to benefit from his work. In particular, the sick, disabled and elderly. And especially - the State of Israel, for which "Yad Sarah" saves millions every year, by saving on hospitalization and medical services, and brings it respect in the UN and in many countries.".

The initiators mention: "Uri founded the organization with his ten fingers, and his entire life was dedicated to its management, development, and growth. All this on a very modest salary," and that he is "known as a humble and humble man, who lives in a simple apartment, the complete opposite of the Nahantists of his kind.".

As quite a few sources have asked in recent days, the petition organizers wonder, "Why is a minor donation of the size of 'Yad Sarah' exactly a reason for bribery? And did he get anything personal out of it?! Even if the court is right, that he failed due to a conflict of interest, does such a person deserve 6 years in prison? Does a person who has helped hundreds of thousands, and over the years perhaps millions of sick and disabled people, deserve to be in prison when he is life-threateningly ill?!""

The court could have imposed on him "in its opinion" 6 years of community service at "Yad Sarah", that way his continued blessed activity for the benefit of the public, for the benefit of all of us, would not be harmed!

"Do we deserve that Uri, may God bless him, should die within the walls of prison? Do we deserve that his blessed activity should cease?"

The call ends with a personal appeal to all surfers, "If you personally want to do Uri a favor? If you are in favor of a complete change in the sentence and punishment?"

So far, as mentioned, thousands of signatures have been collected, and the petition organizers are trying to reach the golden number of one hundred thousand signatures.
